“For auld lang syne, my jo,
For auld lang syne,
We’ll tak a cup o’ kindness yet,
For auld lang syne”
Okay, I’m pretty sure my first New Year’s Resolution is going to be learning the words to Auld Lang Syne and, time permitting, what they actually mean. I don’t know about you but I have a strained relationship with resolutions. On the one hand, they’re a nice way to set goals for the coming year. On the other hand, there is so much pressure to do something incredibly meaningful and hold your feet to the fire. Oof, my days are pretty busy as is, not sure throwing a lot of guilt on top of it is going to make me move any faster. Let’s see what the other WubbaNub bloggers have to say and maybe I can draw some inspiration from their resolutions.
Ellen Schmidt:
I don’t really make them, because I don’t want to feel disappointed if I don’t achieve the resolution I set! But, I will say I’d like to keep a healthy mindset by incorporating more of a routine when it comes to yoga and making healthy choices at the grocery store (i.e., staying away from cookie aisle).
Katy’s Note: Okay this is a pretty good one. I could also be more on my yoga game.
Kristen Fradiani:
My new year’s resolution is to develop a morning routine of at least 30 minutes (without my phone!) before I start the day that I can devote solely to doing something for myself. This can be anything from writing my intentions for the day, journaling, or just making myself a good breakfast before work!
Katy’s Note: Well, seems like we’re all looking to be a bit more organized. I really like the idea of putting screens away and having a dedicated quiet time for my eyes and ears.
Katy Hartnett:
Well, I got some good ideas from my fellow bloggers. I think a combination may work for me. This year I will try to do at least fifteen minutes of meditation and gentle stretches every day… okay maybe three times a week. Oh, and also learning the words to Auld Lang Syne.
Happy New Year from all of us at the WubbaNub family to yours! We look forward to seeing what you’re up to in 2019.
