We can hardly believe it, but Halloween will be here in less than 10 weeks (AGH)! How did that happen? As we adjust to back-to-school and the changing seasons, here are a few Halloween costume ideas and decorating trends that are already circling for 2019. Baby Simba from The Lion King? Yes, please!
Baby Shark
I think we all saw this one coming. This Baby Shark costume (Spirit Halloween, $34.99) is completely adorable, but what sets it above and beyond is the sound chip that comes attached! So, now you can bop down the block to the tune of the viral video sensation, “Baby Shark”, (good luck trying to get it out of your head) while out trick-or-treating. In fact, the entire family can get in on the Baby Shark costume action!
Sporky from Toy Story
We’ll be honest, Sporky’s costume (available at Target, $25.00) is maybe a little creepy. Good thing he was such a lovable character in this year’s hit animated movie, Toy Story 4! You’ll be sure to see lots of Sporky characters out trick-or-treating. As for Forks and Spoons, we’re not so sure.
Skeleton Flamingos
The Halloween trend this year appears to be scary, but elegant. Normally flamingos in the yard might be a little on the tacky side, but these skeleton flamingos yard decorations (Amazon, $26.49) actually look quite refined!
Captain Marvel
Girls can be superheroes, too! This officially licensed Marvel Captain Marvel costume (Target, $23.00) lets your little girl transfer from Carol Danvers to one of the most powerful superheroes in the universe in this jumpsuit. Pretty cool!
Halloween Tree
Move over, Christmas, there’s a new tree in town! Halloween trees like this one (Christmas Traditions, $41.99) are all the rage this year. As mentioned above, “elegant Halloween” is where it’s at this year.
Simba from The Lion King
Disney has a massive hit on its hands this year with The Lion King, and I’m not sure it gets much cuter that Simba from the film. Well, your little cutie in a Simba costume (Oriental Trading, $31.99) might just compete. Roar!
Lighted Halloween Witches
Once again, we didn’t realize you could make a witch look elegant, but these lighted witch stakes (Plow & Hearth, $99.95) come pretty close. Happy (early) Halloween, everyone!
