I am the mother of a 13-year-old Heart Hero named Sam, who has undergone three open-heart surgeries with another in the near future. Sam is one of the inspirations behind the nonprofit organization, Heart Heroes Inc. At Heart Heroes, we provide support, encouragement, and empowerment for CHD families.
