Never did I think I would have a child with a heart defect, let alone two. My two sons, now age 3 and 16 months, were both born with a defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. My 3-year-old has been through 3 open heart surgeries and my 16-month-old has been through 2 open heart surgeries and received a heart transplant in May of 2020. We have spent countless nights in the hospital, are at Children’s hospital weekly to see several specialists for both boys. They each gave their set of complications that require frequent follow-ups WubbaNubs have given my boys comfort and helped them learn how to suck when they were unable to drink a bottle. Both of them loved their WubbaNubs and they go everywhere with them. We are thankful for the CHD bear and get compliments on it everywhere we go because they are just so darn cute.
