Our son Declan was born with a severe CHD known as hypoplastic left heart syndrome. Leaving him with an underdeveloped left ventricle. Declan had his first open-heart surgery at just 8 days old. He has undergone 2 of the 3 necessary heart surgeries. Both of these done before he was 8 months old. Declan has been in Physical therapy since he was 6 weeks old and our tough guy finally mastered walking at 15 months old. He is the happiest baby ever.
