Grace Swearinger was born May 19th 2020.
Her Congenital Heart Defect was detected when she was in the womb. She had a large VSD, Tetralogy of Fallot, and Mapcas.
She had a thirteen-hour reconstructive surgery on her heart on 12/11/2020. Grace’s doctors believed she would need surgery at birth, however, after forty days in the ICU she was able to go home and spend some time with her family until she was seven months old.
Grace’s story has been like many other heart babies’ stories – she’s shown strength, resilience, and perseverance through the toughest journey.
We hope we can bring awareness and more understanding to CHD through our sweet daughter’s story!
